The average size of a wedding dress….

You think its an 8? Because thats what the perfect model dress size is? Well you are wrong…. very very wrong.

It goes to show that its not the women with those sculpted abs and toned asses that seal the deal but its the women with gumption. They come in all sizes, colours and flavours but they have one thing in common, their spirit, their belief in themselves.

Imagine if you had the “perfect body” that your Instagram feed shows, you eat to maintain it, to live to showcase it and you put yourself through stuff you hate doing doing just for that. But for what?? Really, what do gain here? You 5 second fame on social media? Nobody is bothered enough to remember it for more than that instant. So don’t be disheartened if you think you are not measuring up to those standards because to be truly happy and successful in life, you gotta make your own standards. Push yourself to be your best self, not someone else’s best self.

Take up habits you love, routines that make you happy, tasks that you love waking up to. And watch your life fall in place. It will begin with you loving yourself and then it expands to others loving you. That results in more happiness and then to more drive to do creative things and this forms a loop. Every successful person you look at began with respecting themselves, they believed in themselves enough for others to believe in them. Do the same and start living your life today rather than expanding.

Don’t wait to be a size eight to welcome your dream man or that perfect wedding dress, welcome them to fit you. Don’t think your talent today is not enough to be displayed, because every beginning is humble. Know that you are enough for your dreams to come true. Let this be your motto until we meet again :)

P.S. : From what I remember the average size of the wedding dress is around 14 ….
