28 ways to exploit your Vaseline
Vaseline…. its like underwear, everyones got one, you, me, the hottie you see on your commute every day, the grandma down the street and even your creepy neighbour. Some use it just because they bought it while the rest leave them in their medicine cabinets only to throw it away once it expires.
But heres the thing, there are literally a ton of reasons to love Vaseline because it could just be a life saver. Especially when you are travelling, clubbing or having an intense day to night transition, when you don’t want to be carrying a lot of things in your little bag of fun.
Here are 28 of the million different ways to literally exploit that tin of Vaseline you own but has left to fend on its own.
Eyebrow Gel : Set your eyebrow makeup with a quick run of Vaseline over it. It will stay put and give an ever so slight sheen to it.
Moisture lock : Vaseline is a fabulous moisture locker. Use your favorite moisturiser and apply a thin layer of Vaseline over it to protect your skin’s moisture content on those winter nights. You will love waking up with soft, nourished, healthy skin.
Tame fly always : Tame those flyaways with a light dab of Vaseline over them.
Eye pack : Vaseline is an awesome base for any DIY eyemasks. It protects moisture from escaping and ensures that all your ingredients are well absorbed overnight.
Elbow softener : Yes! Soften up those hardened elbows by generously applying Vaseline on them every night for around a month.
Cuticle protector : Need no long explanations here right?
Soften hands : Definitely an effective replacement for your expensive hand cream.
Get rid of cracked heels : Vaseline seals in moisture and softens the skin on your heels, thus healing your cracks gradually.

Mani pedi help : Border your nails with Vaseline to get rid of nail polish spreading to your skin.
Makeup remover : Totally self -explanatory ( But make sure to cleanse very very well after ).
Seal split ends : Yes! It can do that too, just make sure not to load your ends with too much product as it might weigh the hair down.
Remove your ring : Vaseline is like a skin friendly WD40 when it comes to removing rings.
Exfoliator base ( use with brown sugar ) : Mix three tablespoons of Vaseline with three tablespoons of brown sugar to create an effective and safe body scrub.
Fragrance sealer : Now this one is a real keeper :: Dab a dose of Vaseline on your favorite perfume spots and then spray on the fragrance. It will linger way longer than usual.
Remove makeup from clothes : Apply Vaseline to the stain and then wash it. Voila!
Lip Conditioner : Vaseline is used so much as a lip balm, many people think that is its primary use! While it is so not just that.
Joint pain relief ( heat and use ) : Yes, it works! Heat it up a bit and then use as a massage base. It is just too good, with the perfect consistency.

Relieve razor burns ( use frozen ) : It soothes razor burns and heals them for smoother clearer skin.
Nail polish bottle neck : Apply a layer to your nail polish bottle neck before you close it so that it is never ever jammed again.
Tattoo protector : Apply a layer of Vaseline on your new tattoo when you take a shower to protect the ink. ( Be careful to remove the Vaseline as soon as you are done showering as otherwise it might get absorbed and dilute the ink ).
Protects skin when hair dyeing : Prevent hair colour stains on your hair line by coating the skin there with Vaseline before you start using the hair colour.
Even tan : You can use it as a replacement for your tanning oil, to get an even tan.
Apply to teeth to prevent lipstick from sticking : A coat of Vaseline on your front teeth will make sure you never get those hideous lipstick stains on your teeth.
Bonus tip ( Thank you Hope for this one ) : Apply it on your nipples to keep them from sticking out of your workout wear and t-shirts.
