My friend Laura and I got a chance to visit the Kochi-Muziri’s Biennale last December. Its an art fair that happens in the south-western coast of India. This year it has 94 artists from 30 countries exhibiting their work in over 8 venues in Fort Kochi, Kerala, India. It was a quick visit because we hardly had any time left to squeeze out. But I have to say I was impressed. There were some pretty cool stuff.

I would say it was an off-beat experience because it was very different from the kind of events I normally attend. But it was worth the effort and I am happy I could attend it.

There were a lot of diverse activities happening all around me. People drawing on walls, painting awesome murals, mixing cool music, building sculptures, transforming everyday items into otherwise unimaginable pieces of art, taking photographs, relaxing by the sea etc etc. There was so much creativity all over the place with everyone working on something new.

It was fun to walk around and see it all, especially considering the very affordable entry fee. But it did get tiring after a while due to the tropical sun coupled with the high humidity.

Laura and her Uncle are really into photography and they were generous enough to share a lot of their pics from that day. I have added some of them here for you all to get the essence of the event. If you like what you see here theres good news, the exhibition runs till the end of March 2015 so you can still go and have a look in person, meet a few artists and experience some modern-day art and culture.

Signing off hoping everyone liked what they read and saw. Don’t forget to subscribe, share and let me know your feedback as always!

P.S. This post is dedicated to the uber-cool Laura Lascau. Miss you loads.
